Ideas to Help You Sell Your Cookbook...Extra Fast!

(PRWEB) October 20, 2005 -- Think in terms of “multiples.” Yes, go ahead and sell your cookbooks to your family, friends, neighbors and coworkers. But, to push cookbook sales even faster picture places where you can sell your cookbooks in multiples. Think of selling your cookbooks 12 at a time, or even more!
The holidays are a perfect time to do this. Where? Think of places you go where they have many employees…..your doctor’s or dentist’s office, your beauty shop, your favorite restaurant. Owners usually give their employees holiday gifts….and your cookbook might be just that perfect gift.
Think of your local banks and realty companies. They often look for little “perks” to give potential customers……and they like items with a local flare. Your cookbook would be ideal.
Think of local furniture stores, or decorating and flooring stores. They often give “thank you” gifts for recent purchases. Something with “local color” is ideal. Your cookbook is the perfect solution.
Do you know the staff at your local chamber of commerce office, or at your local motel/hotel? What a perfect gift for them to give someone who wants to become more familiar with your city.
The above suggestions are only “starters.” Make contact with these kinds of businesses…and sell them a case of books, instead of just one or two books. You may want to encourage these contacts to buy a case….by your offering an incentive….like a small discount from your regular price per book. You might offer 13 books for the price of 12 books. You might offer a 5% discount. Be creative. Incentives help businesses find reasons why it makes sense to by in “bulk.”
Keep thinking. As you get ideas…..keep them on a handy list. Then follow through.
Make at least one contact every day. By the end of a month…….you’ll be amazed. You’ll probably have to place a reorder!
